FIRE DEPARTMENT RECEIVES GRANT
Full Description:
The Town's Fire Department recently received a $108,000 grant from the Department of Homeland Security to install vehicle exhaust extraction systems in all Flower Mound fire stations. The extraction systems will provide 100% venting of vehicle exhaust emitted by fire trucks, eliminating health risks associated with exhaust contaminates and hazardous emissions. Providing protection to Fire Department personnel and to the residents of Flower Mound, this project further demonstrates the Town’s commitment to public safety.
